O’s Notes: Vocalist Lorraine Feather assembles an incredible team for My Own Particular Life including composers, co-producer Eddie Arkin (g), Shelly Berg (p), Russell Ferrante (keyboards) and Dave Grusin (keyboards). Additional musicians include Grant Geissman (g), Michael Valerio (b), Chuck Bergeron (b) and Michael Shapiro (d, perc). The program has a mysterious, sometimes haunting feel as on “Music From The Ceiling” and “Everything Else Is Waiting” with excellent work on violin by Charlie Bisharat. The other themes have deep emotional meanings, personal, the pandemic, and Lorraine’s life in general. Feather does a fine job expressing it all.
