O’s Notes: Vance is a coffeehouse style guitarist and vocalist. We think he’s a better guitarist than singer on Nearness of You. He performs fourteen classics including “‘Round Midnight”, “Dindi” and “Mas Que Nada”. The personalized arrangements take some of the original allure away but Gilbert’s following may appreciate his passion.
