O’s Notes: Japanese pianist Arina Fujiwara paints a beautiful picture on this jazzy endeavor Neon, a set of six unique compositions including four originals. She plays with a chamber quartet that shines on the opener “Yuki Ga Furu”. We also enjoyed the peaceful “Komorebi” featuring vibraphonist Vid Jamnik, “Vol. 1” with guitarist Brad King, and finally a cover of “Maple Leaf Rag”.
