O’s Notes: Many remember Clifton Davis for his starring role in the TV Series “That’s My Mama”. He’s an accomplished actor, singer, writer and minister. Perhaps his greatest composition is Never Can Say Goodbye. It’s been recorded by many artists including the Jackson 5 and the late Luther Vandross! Clifton sings his classic for the first time on this recording. He has a warm inviting baritone placed on timeless classics like “Swept Away”, “Começar De Novo” with Spanish lyrics, “So Many Stars”, and the title track featuring harmonies with Take 6. Music comes from the polished Beegie Adair trio with strings and backup vocals/arrangements by Mark Kibble. This is a happy collection of romantic experiences.
