O’s Notes: This is a dose of South African Contemporary Jazz. Oliver plays acoustic guitar and sings the lead male vocals. Percussionist Eric Kasamba, Mary Bell and Namatayi Mubariki also sing. Though the lyrics are in their native tongue we all appreciated the beautiful tone and harmonies. Nhava has relaxing, cool sounds that sooth the soul. The liner notes explain the lyrics – messages about South African life, lessons and passion. It all fits well together.
