O’s Notes: Paul Marinaro is one of Chicago’s best baritone vocalists and he places himself inside of each song on Not Quite Yet, an album that warrants repeated listening. Marinaro has a strong supporting band including co-producer/arranger, guitarist Mike Allemana, warm brass, and The KAIA String Quartet. “Someone to Light up My Life”, “The Island”, “Taking A Chance On Love”, “Make Me Rainbows”, and “Invitation” are all winners in a strong set. We like Paul’s fresh approach. He’s solid crooner with an excellent large ensemble leading to a delightful performance!
