O’s Notes: Stride piano, drums with brushesÉ this is Ralph Sutton with Michael Silva recorded live in France during November 1988. It was a magical session that came together exceptionally well. Both veterans were at ease and their confidence comes through to the listeners. You can hear Ralph scatting, babbling the counters to his melodies in the background. He’s enjoying himself. The resulting music is relaxing, yet energetic and loaded with happy spirits. There are only two musicians, twelve songs well executed for enjoyment!
