O’s Notes: Kristin is a new jazz vocalist worthy of checking out. One Magic Day is more like a magical performance that goes beyond 24hours. Callahan’s supporting band is strong with exceptional contributions from vibraphonist Warren Wolf, pianist Vince Evans and bassist JC Jefferson. Kristin has a laid back style but her voices is strong and resonates across the stage. The program is a combination of classic songs in many genres arranged to recreate the space while retaining the original feel. Enjoyable all the way through and held a spot in our changer for weeks!
