O’s Notes: Johnny is one of the soulful B3 players. He lets the notes ring, almost like he was in a church. On this session he is joined by Freddie McCoy (vibes) and Eddie McFadden (g) who do an excellent job sharing leads with Johnny. The lower registers are kept steady by Wendell Marshall (b) and Leo Stevens (d). This is a combination of two albums: Simulation and Opus de Funk, both on Prestige in 1961.
