O’s Notes: Danielle Wertz (vocals, synthesizers) puts presents Other Side, an album that engulfs the listener in a true expression of emotion. Her band includes Javier Santiago (p, organ, synthesizers), Keith Ganz (g), Samuel Priven (a-sax), Owen Clapp (b), and Evan Hyde (d, perc). Wertz soars on “Spring is Here” and gives us sweet tones on “A Sunday Kind of Love”. We loved her scatting on “When The Walls Crumble, We Return”, our favorite of the ten selections.
