O’s Notes: Brazilian guitarist Ricardo appears in a number of configurations for Outro Rio. Generally it is a trio with bass and drums but the players change throughout the set. Maria Rita adds vocals on “A Medida Do Meu Coraão”, a duet with Silveira. The pace is varied as well from the mid-tempo beats of “Viver Em Paz” to the more upbeat “Choro Bacana” and “O Monstro E A Flor”, one of the best songs of the lot. We also liked “the funky “Moonlight In Rangiroa” and relaxing “Lembranas” capping a fine session.
