O’s Notes: Drummer/percussionist Mike Wingo and pianist/composer Dave Anderson form a duet for Pathways, a pleasant, mixed tempo, set of contemporary jazz. There are eleven of Anderson’s originals surrounding a fresh cover of “Milestones”. Dave and Mike are very complimentary and well-coordinated. They sound much larger than a duo in a satisfying set highlighted by “Lament” and “Joy Ride”.
