O’s Notes: Trumpeter Mac Gollehon plays trumpet, trombone, keyboards, guitar and sings on Pistoleros. He’s joined by percussionists Anthony Carrillo, and Elvis Ferrara, with David Brenner (synth) providing sound effects. The music has a heavy dose of electronics with Latin, jazz-fusion, club beats. Highlights are the pulsating club beats of “Sign It”, and the hip, rapid fire scatting on “Killer Joe”.
