O’s Notes: The basis of a great performance starts with great music. There is none better than the songs of Louie Armstrong, always jovial, lively and energetic. Scott does them justice with new arrangements and the use of various saxophones to lead the melodies. There is a lot of sizzle especially on “Irish Black Bottom” and “Gutbucket Blues”, two of our favorites among many.
