O’s Notes: Two young Italians, pianist Tommaso Perazzo and drummer Marcello Cardillo join forces with featured artist, bassist Buster Williams. They are a strong unit, establishing unity from the opener, “Back at The Right Spot!”, the first of three originals by Perazzo. “Alba Sul Mare”, is a more relaxed, mid-tempo track before Cardillo’s “Kind of Blues”. Williams contributes two of his own compositions notably “Where Giants Dwell”. We also liked their arrangements of “Footprints” and “Soul Leo”.
