O’s Notes: John’s work on guitar is pleasurably easy on the ears. He plays some bossa nova, some bop and even has some contemporary feel. 9 of 10 songs are his own compositions. Ther’s solid work on keyboards from Larry Goldings and from Bill Thompson (sax flute). It all comes together to make a package that remains fresh after multiple listening sessions.
