O’s Notes: The late Michael Hedges was one of Windham Hill’s early stars, a pioneering guitarist on the world jazz format. This collection features sixteen of his songs released from 1981 through 1999. His percussive style is unique and easily appreciated in the solo format. He adds a partner on several tracks notably Bobby McFerrin on “The Streamlined Man” and Michael Manning on bass on several songs. It’s cool stuff especially “The Funky Avocado”.
