O’s Notes: This is a solo effort from Lee that found a place in our sweet spot. She uses graceful stokes of the piano keys to support soft scatting on “Cogitation” followed by vocal harmonies on “Up In The Air” over an electronic keyboard. The tones (voice & Rhodes) are well matched on “If I Should Lose You” giving us a true appreciation of this minimalist approach. Queen of Cups turned from an ensemble to a solo recording during the pandemic. Lauren shines!
