O’s Notes: Randi has a soft smoky voice that is at times seductive and then jovial. She sings with a unique style that has a Mediterranean flair courtesy of the accordion and Latin rhythms, a blend of folk, jazz and cabaret. The program is all original except for two freshly arranged covers that fit nicely into her zone, especially the transformation of “My Heart Belongs to Daddy”. Tyringvåg brings a taste of Norway to the rest of the world and makes a splash taking us in yet another appealing direction. This album is worth sampling!
