O’s Notes: There are many albums covering standard tunes but Jennifer Madsen’s Reimagine features fresh arrangements that bring new life to tied old tunes. Arranger Brent Edstrom (p), Clipper Anderson (b), and Mark Ivester (d) are the supporting rhythm section. Sean Jones (t) makes a guest appearance on “Body and Soul”, and Howard Levy (harmonica) steps in on “Beyond the Sea”. Jennifer puts her heart into each song, expressing full emotions. “I Can’t Give You Anything But Love, Baby”, and “Willow Weep For Me” are fine examples.
