O’s Notes: Rise is the fifth album by Australian singer-songwriter, producer Bonnie J Jensen. She sings mostly fresh arrangements of classics along with a couple of originals. The musicians are all talented Australians. We loved “Cantaloupe Island” one of three selections backed by the Dan Barnett Big Band. We also enjoyed “People Make The World Go Round”, “Spain”, “Hugh’s Blues”, and “Butterfly” with excellent accompaniment on flute by Graham Jesse. This release should broaden Bonnie’s appeal to a global audience.
