O’s Notes: Rocksteady has a Southwestern feel to it with a cool bounce. From the mysterious blues of “Stalag 17” to the reggae beats of “Nightwork”, they carve out twelve songs that bring us back to the late 1960’s and early 1970’s. Ranglin’s funky guitar leads on “Confucius” with Monty’s counters on piano make it one of the best songs on the CD.
