O’s Notes: Sacred Soul has an exotic world music theme that could be used as a cinema soundtrack. Emar sings and adds funky club beats with a reggae bass line to “Jamil”, a dedication to Rumi, a 13th century poet and mystic who’s writing remain inspirational globally. The club beats continue on “Salaam” before the choir harmonies of “Tebje Pojem”. On the lighter side is “Sheila Sheila”, a pop tune encouraging fulfillment of life. Most of the music is dedicated to people, gods and beliefs, all for the good of mankind. The music reflects this.
