O’s Notes: Canadian composer, producer, pianist, arranger, conductor Stephan Moccio reflects on his performances at the Four Seasons Hotel in Toronto early in the millennium. Scenes From A Velvet Room are the lobby lounge and the music sets a warm, inviting mood. Moccio is accompanied by notable saxophonist Branford Marsalis on “The Beautiful Undoing” and a couple others that resonated with us. We also enjoyed “Dear Burt”, “Bossa Noir”, and “Pink Lady” in a relaxing set.
