O’s Notes: Fred Farrell is a seasoned vocalist who pours his heart into each selection. His supporting instrumentation is excellent with bassist Ratzo Harris and pianist, musical director Roberta Piket. Fred has a tight range with blue tones and a raspy, smoky voice. He opens with the spiritual “Lost In The Stars” before setting into classics like “Dinji”. He’s best on “Once I Loved”, “Skylark”, and “Zal”.
