O’s Notes: Jessie (sax) teams up with his Italian road band, a trio led by pianist Massimo Farao. Together they play a tight collection of 9 mostly new songs. Davis continues to carve his signature with a balanced mature sound. Don’t misinterpret mature! These guys definitely swing but they do it with a balanced confidence that excludes rookie acrobatics.
