O’s Notes: Guitarist Thom Rotella leads in organ trio with Bobby Floyd (organ) and Roy McCurdy (d). Percussionist Lenny Castro accentuates half of the dozen selections. Thom states his case on the opener “Who Dat?” followed by a laid-back take of “Love For Sale”. Eric Alexander (t-sax) and Jeremy Pelt (t) play on two selections each, notably “Not So Much” and “Don’t Mess With Mister T” respectively. But this Rotella’s date and he shines in the spotlight mend to end. “Georgia On My Mind” and “Pick Pocket” are other highlights.
