O’s Notes: Omara has a wonderful voice and delights us with twenty traditional Cuban songs. She sings with incredible passion and feeling that is easily conveyed to the listener regardless of whether or not you understand the Spanish lyrics. The songs were recorded in Cuba with a guitarist all the way to a full orchestra. But the highlight is always Portuondo’s voice. It’s a very good collection.
