O’s Notes: This is upbeat, energetic and swinging straight-ahead jazz. Mike Bisio (b), Brad Edwards (d) and leader Bob Nell (p) pack a lot of music into their well-knit trio. Bob has worked with Bisio for over 3 decades and the rhythm section came together over 14 years ago. Nell’s compositions are a reflection of his family life that is warm and jovial. It is mainly up-tempo but there are also some relaxing ballads like the title track. This spirit comes through in the music.
