O’s Notes: Pianist and composer Claire Ritter is masterful on this solo effort, a collection of 20 songs including 18 mostly new originals! This is unique and appreciated as most pianists plays covers on their solo recordings. Ritter’s playing is deliberate, never superficial allowing listeners to reflect and appreciate each phrase. Most of the songs are less than three minutes that also keeps the mood fresh. This is a good showing.
