O’s Notes: Solo piano can be very entertaining and joyful under the hands of a master. Eyran fills that role on Solitude. He varies the pace and dynamics and generally keeps the tunes brief (less than 4 minutes) to keep the listener attentive. The selections are great including fresh arrangements of “Stompin’ At The Savoy”, “But Beautiful” and “Blue Monk”. There are 17 in all and sure to have a few that you’ll enjoy. The session is inoffensive yet engaging and perfectly suitable for cocktail backdrop.
