O’s Notes: It takes a lot of courage to take the stage alone with a violin but Frick pulls it off maintaining his audience for over 55 minutes. He does an excellent job showing the versatility and range of the instrument as a percussion instrument, bass, guitar and of course a violin being plucked, bowed or strummed. “Internal Bleeding” is an excellent example created entirely with the violin! Simon expresses many moods from the soft seduction of “Moments” to the racy rock-fusion of “In The Name Of God”. Eight of the twelve selections are original making this a fresh creative work that defines the many dimensions of Simon Frick.
