O’s Notes: Kim Nazarian places her soft warm vocals on eleven classic popular tunes. Her husband Jay Ashby is the producer, arranger, trombonist and composer of several selections. Dwayne Dolphin (b), Mark Soskin (p), Sean Jones (t), Marty Ashby (g), John Pizzarelli (g, vocals), Gary Burton (vibes) and Paquito D’Rivera (cl) are among the fine musicians that participate in this collaboration. Some Morning is a fine take with Nazarian shining on “Robin’s Nest”, “Gotta Be This Or That” and “Road To Kursk”.
