O’s Notes: Sax man Chris Greene swings over nine tunes – mostly covers with a few originals. Damian Espinosa (p), Marc Plane (b) and Tyrone Blair (d) make up a crisp rhythm section. The pace is upbeat as Greene plays a driving lead line on “Bernie’s Tune” a great warm-up for Chris’s “Adamantium (part III)”, one of the best of the lot. They play Stevie Wonder’s “Boogie 2.0” with a funky beat before giving us a heart felt dose of “You Win Again”. We enjoyed “The Oracle”, a mid tempo track that allowed them to come up for air while still maintaining their intensity. They wrap up the set with “Take Care of Yourself”, a ballad the leaves us feeling warm.
