O’s Notes: It only takes a few bars into the opening track “Francesa” to recognize that guitarist Ricardo Silveira has done a fine job on Storyteller. He employs top talent including bassist Alphonso Johnson, Louis Conte (perc) and Jeff Beal (t) creating blends with just the right blend of instrumentation. Silveira incorporates remarkable fretwork into the program displaying his talents on both channels. There are eleven original stories with a smooth integrated flow that comes together for a fine session of smooth Latin jazz.
