O’s Notes: Kristine is the daughter of the legendary Donna Lee! She has the good gene pool and struts her stuff on this double CD, a set with dual personalities. The first disc is Straight Up, a cool contemporary jazz vocal set featuring a nice mix of unique freshly arranged covers with several originals. Disc 2 recasts most of the same songs with a TWIST – heavy club rock beats. We prefer the first disc. Highlights are “Stairway to Heaven”, the soulful, jazzy take of “On the Radio”, “Lovin'” and from TWIST: the mysterious groove of “What I Like About You”.
