O’s Notes: Baritone saxophonist Charles Evans realizes his dream of performing with soprano saxophonist David Liebman, an established force on the free jazz front and master of his horn. This is a rather unique combination attacking melodies but it works well! Ron Stabinsky (p) and Tony Marino (d) round out the quartet and keep things flowing. They squawk, squeak, blaze and simmer across six movements. It’s edgy, catchy and exciting beyond the Avant Garde set!
