O’s Notes: Tales captures jazz pianist Bill Evans at a session Live In Copenhagen, 1964. He performs in a trio with bassist Chuck Israels and drummer Larry Bunker performing for Danish Radio. The mood is bright, and the band is lively over ten classic selections. There is also a bonus take of “‘Round Midnight” grouping Evans with Eddie Gomez (b) and Marty Morell (d) from November 1969. The audience is enthusiastic and appreciative of another fine example of Evans in his prime. There is a 24-page booklet with photos and stories that further embellishes this work!
