O’s Notes: His Muse is trumpeter Jeremy Pelt’s second take on The Art of Intimacy. Volume 2 includes Buster Williams (b), Victor Gould (p), Billy Hart (d) and a string quartet. Pelt opens on “Blues In Sophistication” and adds vocals on “Two For The Road” that also includes a guest appearance from guitarist Chico Pinheiro. Jeremy’s tone is the defining characteristic on this recording, world-class and passionate, notably on “Slow Hot Wind”.
