O’s Notes: This is the 7th of seven volumes in The“Art of Ivo Perelman-Shipp“series titled“Dione. The headliners are joined by drummer Andrew Cyrille who immediately makes his presence known with a solid solo opening “Part 1”. If fact, Cyrille is a catalyst for this trio, amplifying all that they do throughout the set. His solos use the entire drum set, particularly the cymbals as on “Part 3”. You won’t forget about Ivo and Matt as they are up to their usual cat and mouse free spirited interplay. There are eight parts of daring adventure over 57 minutes.
