O’s Notes: Songwriter, saxophonist, vocalist, arranger, producer Suzanne Grzanna takes a retro look with an Anniversary Album release of 1994’s Cat’s Meow. Personnel includes David Hazeltine (p), Ugonna Okegwo (b), Gerald Cannon (b), Mark Johnson (d), and Randy Baugher (d). Grzanna has a gentle voice on the mic and a full-bodied sound on sax! Her style is early 1900s, jazz vocals and she brings it into the 21st century without skipping a beat. “Cedar Lodge”, “Kiss”, “By The Fireside”, and “Eunni” are highlights.
