O’s Notes: The Lalama Brothers are Ralph on tenor sax and Dave on piano. For this recording they invite Nicole Paternak Lalama to grace the microphone for seven of the thirteen selections. They are reminiscing about the music they knew as kids including prime time Basie, Getz and Jimmy Smith. The Crepuscule Variations are songs their parents left with them. Good music and good performances across the board make this a good session.
