O’s Notes: Hmmm, a doctor playing trumpet? We were skeptical at first but late into the first track they began to swing and we eased up. When we heard Williams leading “On The Trail” and “I Remember Clifford” we knew he could blow his horn. He gets help from a strong band with Justo Almario (ts, cl), Henry Franklin (b), Nate Morgan (p) and Fritz Wise (d). Collectively they bring home a soothing set of tunes. The liner notes speak of the healing power of music… We wouldn’t classify this as sedative in any way but it sure feels good listening to it! Nice job Doc.
