O’s Notes: Duke Ellington and his orchestra are legendary for their recordings and even more for their live appearances. This appearance at the Crystal Ballroom in Fargo, ND was recorded by Jack Towers and now reproduced by Storyville with excellent liner notes. There are forty-five songs, a nice documentation of the Duke in his prime.
