O’s Notes: Tommy Flanagan and Jaki Byard are both dynamic pianists. They came together on February 7, 1982 at the Keystone Korner in San Francisco. No doubt the place was rocking. There is a lot of ivory being struck but they stay out of each other’s way performing in tandem and of the same mind. That night the audience had a wonderful treat!
