O’s Notes: Jo Harrop sings straight from her heart, making The Path Of A Tear a personal and appreciable performance. The songs have a retro groove, circa 1970s soul and pop. The mood (romance) is generally dark. We liked “Beautiful Fool”, the blues of “Whiskey Or The Truth” & “You’ll Never Be Lonely In SoHo”, shadowed by guitarist Anthony Wilson, and the honky tonk vibe on “If It Wasn’t For Bad”. Don’t throw in the towel yet, there’s always hope on “Hurt”, just take the pain.
