O’s Notes: Portland-based vocalist Rebecca Kilgore has been performing with her trio for about a decade and this release is the long anticipated, first volume of their music together. There’s a really cool swinging feel that starts with the bouncy bass notes from Tom Wakeling with comping by pianist Randy Porter. That is the pleasing formula for this session. Rebecca‘s voice is gentle and soothing all the way through. Special guest Dick Titterington adds coronet on two selections as well.
