O’s Notes: Neil Sedaka is a legendary American pop singer, pianist and composer with numerous hits under his belt. Pop/jazz vocalist Jim Van Slyke pays tribute to Sedaka, an idol, mentor and friend with“The Sedaka Sessions. Neil even joins Jim to sing two selections notably “Brighton”. Van Slyke does a fine job recreating the magic on thirteen other selections while infusing his character into the mix. Highlights are “Love Will Keep Us Together”, “Breaking Up Is Hard To Do” and “Pray For Rain/Laughter In The Rain”. This one is worth reminiscing!
