O’s Notes: Free Nelson MandoomJazz is a trio with Rebecca Sneddon (sax), Colin Stewart (b) and Paul Archibald (d). They embark on an adventure that results in large doses of free improvisation. We preferred the more structured songs in a program that is explosive for the most part and introspective on “Saxophone Giganticus” and “Black Sabbath”. This is a provocative set.
