O’s Notes: The Perceptions Trio was formed in Switzerland by French saxophonist Charley Rose, Swiss guitarist Silvan Joray, and Brazilian drummer, percussionist Paulo Almeida. They each contribute original compositions for The Wicked Crew, a spacey, jazz-fusion. Charley’s use of effects pedals adds an additional dimension to the music. The title track is among the best songs along with the solemn “Sombra”, “Radio Goose Bumps”, and the relaxed “Peaceful Departures”.
